Sigh, this is the first Friday I've attempted to spend time at home working by myself. And it is not quite panning out. My boyfriend and I keep exchanging text messages just to feel like we are still connected to each other. Sigh...I don't know if it is better just to work over at his place...

This blog has chronicled my development as a graduate student in Educational Psychology. I have recently joined the professoriate. Will the nature of this blog change? I surmise that every stage of life requires growth, and perhaps this blog will reflect the growth I hope to enjoy as I navigate this new stage of life within the ivory tower.

(but realize, also, that this is coming from the girl whose b/f lives in a different state, and has reached the point that she would so much rather BE with him than constantly thinking about being with him...). Happy studying/planning/writing/etc.!
Aww, thanks Karen. The problem with being over at his place is that I become complacent and avoid doing my work by watching TV with him or watching him WOW or just peeking in on him all the time. And I never really manage to get into the zone while I'm working over there. But, he keeps disrupting me from getting into the zone at my place because I get excited everytime I receive a text from him and I'm distracted by anticipating the next text. So I can't concentrate on reading my article. Gah! So today we are going to try working over at my place and he's just going to have to be content with sitting at the same table as me WITHOUT talking! He does his thing; I do mine. But, I don't know how well that's going to work either.....
Awwwwww that is like, so sweet. Sorry this is like a week later response, but awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. That is super cute. I know the feeling though, or rather I remember it. How did your place work out? I miss you Kiki! Hope everything is going well. And one more time. AAaawwwwwwwwwwwww
